Daily Quest Rebalancing

Question

Here's my comments and suggestion for current daily quest system:

Comments:

  • For B Class, I noticed that most of pet taming items (required for B class) has 2% drop chance from the mobs now (some still have high chance but from MVP), and the chance for capturing a monster is somehow lowered, I don't know what is the calculation but even after lowering the monster HP, it feels way harder than before normalization.
  • For S Class, I don't know if S Class daily quest is intended to be this hard, but killing MVP monster is way harder now than before normalization. It affects the interaction of players and the quest.
  • In general, daily quest now requires more time than before.

Suggestions:

  • For B Class, the only way I think now is to raise the drop rate at least to the same as before normalization. Right now B quest feels more like an upper level quest than it is, as it takes more time.
  • For S Class, my suggestion is maybe switch it to make players doing the official quest? Because players supposed to be killing MVP as a group now, while some might still be able to do it alone, and I assume that daily quest is supposed to be alone instead of as a group. Also it will be much painful for new players to do the S Class, they need to compete on the hunt with veteran players, and its much harder for them to kill the MVP alone with starter gears. Spawn time also plays a big role in this, although its official, and I get that MVP hunting is free for all content, I just cannot imagine a new player reached S Class and being asked to kill Kiel D-01, have to wait for 2 hours just for the monster being killed by other players.
  • In general, the word "Daily Quest" to me should mean players are encouraged to do it daily, as for now, the system is not really encouraging.

 

Feel free to give comments regarding my suggestions, and please discuss here if someone have another idea.

+1 on B rank daily quest suggestion. It's so much harder because of that low drop rate taming item. And sometimes when we unlucky enough, A Quest ask us taming item such as Contract in Shadow (Deviruchi) etc.

Of course Universal Tamer is an option but sometimes they ask for like 2 or more pet eggs for single B quest.

Solution that i can offer is to "Only" increase the drop rate of the taming items that usually farmable and demanded the most on B quest, such as (with id) :

1. Soft Apron (661) farmed on aliza

2. Book of the Devil (642) farmed from marduk (can be made)

3. Rotten Fish (624) farmed on wild rose

4. Contract in Shadow (641) farmed on joker

5. Old Broom (637) farmed on alice or bathory

6. Orange Juice (620) farmed on drops

7. Armlet of Obedience (639) farmed on verit

8. Rainbow Carrot (622) farmed on lunatic

9. Fatty Chubby Earthworm (632) farmed on hode

10. Shining Stone (640) farmed on zenorc

11. Earthworm the Dude (623) farmed on kukre

12. Deadly Noxious Herb (631) farmed on Marina

13. Bitter Herb (621) farmed on Uzhas

14. Unripe Apple (619) farmed on poring

15. Singing Flower (629) usually farmed on rocker but not drop anymore (can be made)

16. Sweet Milk (627) farmed on savage babe

17. Sweet Potato (633) farmed on horong

18. Tropical Banana (634) farmed on choco

 

I don't include other tame items because they usually hard to farm (even before the normalization) and i believe we dq players choose to use universal tamer instead.

 

If there is no change to the taming item drop rate, i think we will suffer because we will need to either use gum for increasing the drop rate or using universal tamer "everytime" we do B rank quest.

There is no hurt in increasing the drop rate right ? what do you guys think ? feel free to give comment to my idea.

Disable taming item requirements for A class quests. Make B class require you to only tame 1 pet per quest that way you won't get stuck with farming for hours for taming items and then get horribly destroyed by RNG with the actual taming.

Edit: I honestly just don't want to get stuck trying to tame 3x of whatever pet that I have to farm possibly an hour or more for taming items but that's just my own opinion.

Maybe disable taming items demands on A rank quest ?

Anyway, its still gonna be hard B rank quest if we don't have higher drop rate for taming items , B rank quest harder than A rank quest /swt3

 

 

for S rank, bloody branch is still an option but yeah its still hard /abs

Lets just hope we don't get most wanted mvp when we got our S rank target :lol:

From my point of view for S Class, it's not because of the MVP status that is currently in high demand (or most wanted), it's because the current system that makes MVP receive reduced damage, which will make it harder or almost impossible for new player(s) who want to pursue their daily quest into S Class. And as per my statement on the first post, I think MVP killing shouldn't be on daily quest anymore as daily quest meant to be done alone while killing MVP now expected to be as a group (assuming this because the reduced damage receive by MVP).

We're standing in front of a global item drop chance update which is based on latest official data.
It changes up the item drop space and thus especialy affects Adventure Guild balancing as a whole.

Currently looking into possible solutions for a re-balance based on latest data.
